Welcome to Tech Resource Guide
Purpose and Use of this Resource Guide
On behalf of the Learning Experience Team, Welcome to Tech! This is an exciting place to work, and we are delighted you have chosen to join such a dynamic institution. This “Welcome to Tech” Resource Guide contains links to important, interesting, and valuable information, designed to aid in your onboarding experience. It will help introduce you to Georgia Tech by exploring its leadership and structure, our charge through the mission and vision, and its rich history and traditions. And to further assist with your enculturation into a new organization, it also presents ways for you to engage with other employees by participation in learning, programming, and other activities. Also note there are some specific actions identified that you must complete as a new employee. Just as onboarding is not a single “event,” but a process that occurs over many weeks and months, don’t feel you have to explore all these resources in one setting. Take some time to review those areas of interest to you first, and then pace yourself in reviewing other content. We are thrilled for you to be one of the newest members of the Georgia Tech community. - Go Jackets!

New Employee Onboarding Checklists for: • Newly Hired People Leaders • Newly Hired Individual Contributors
The checklists above, one specifically for people-leaders and one specifically for individual contributors, contain some important training sessions and topics to assist in your onboarding. There is also additional space to add other training activities, both formal and informal, that may be recommended or required by your manager, your role/position, or your department/unit/school. As you continue participating in additional onboarding events and activities at the department/unit/school level, work with your manager to set aside time for training and professional development – noting that some of these are required.
